Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) participated in the Unity Parade on September 28, 2026, marking the kickoff of the celebration of the October 4 Town Fiesta of the Municipality of Limay.

The festive activity began with the assembly of participating groups and initial performances by the drum and lyre contingents before the parade proceeded to the Parish of St. Francis of Assisi.

The participants then traversed the town’s main streets, culminating at the Limay Sports Complex, where the main opening program and Drum and Lyre Competition were held.

The Unity Parade brought together various sectors of the Limay community, including LGU department heads and employees led by Hon. Mayor Richie Jason David, Hon. Vice Mayor Marie Grace David and members of the Sangguniang Bayan; LPC administrators, faculty, and staff led by College President Dr. Elmer De Leon; personnel of the Philippine National Police and Bureau of Fire Protection; barangay officials; Mr. and Ms. Limay title holders; and participating drum and lyre groups.

During the event, Mayor Richie Jason David and Vice Mayor Marie Grace David acknowledged LPC’s participation and support for the municipal celebration. They likewise congratulated the College community for its recent institutional achievements and milestones.

LPC’s participation reflects its continuing commitment to active community engagement and meaningful collaboration with the Municipality of Limay.

As a local higher education institution, the College recognizes its role not only in providing quality education but also in contributing to municipal programs and community-building activities.

Through the participation of its administrators, faculty, staff, and students, LPC continues to provide opportunities to share talents, expertise, manpower, material resources, programs, and institutional support in activities that contribute to social development and community solidarity.

The Unity Parade likewise demonstrated the spirit of convergence among the local government, educational institutions, public safety agencies, community organizations, and residents of Limay—celebrating not only the town fiesta but also the shared identity, cooperation, and unity of the Limay community. #
