De Leon lectures on metacognitive assessment during Faculty Seminar in Tarlac City.

Faculty members across departments and levels of Osias Colleges, an accredited higher education institution in Tarlac City, had their Annual Faculty Seminar-Workshop on March 15, 2025 with Dr. Elmer De Leon as their lone resource speaker.
The said training focused on metacognition in assessment tools that was clearly, comprehensively and elaboratively delivered by the said speaker.
As such, Dr. De Leon walked them through learning assessment concepts, test construction, table of specifications and item analysis. He also presented and analyzed quality metacognitive test items that guided the participants in crafting their own sample items in the workshop. At the end, different groups presented their outputs that were rationalized and critiqued by the speaker. An interactive open forum also followed wherein Dr. De Leon smartly answered the latter's questions and made some clarifications.
To note, the said topic has been one usually delivered and shared by Dr. De Leon as his line of expertise in teaching and learning process and also his advocacy among preservice and in-service teachers all over the country.
