𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗦 | LPC Prexy joins Hon. Germar in gracing NC's EdukalEdad Completion Rites
Date Posted: Dec. 10, 2025
Limay Polytechnic College (LPC) President Dr. Elmer B. De Leon served as keynote speaker in the 1st EdukalEdad Completion Ceremony at Norzagaray College, Bulacan, November 25.
Themed: EdukalEdad: Yesterday we learned, today we complete, tomorrow, we continue" Dr. De Leon navigated on the significant role of senior citizens education in the life-changing transformation of adult learners, now that they are given utmost attention and opportunity for academic and social engagement.
Hon. Ma. Elena Germar, Municipal Mayor of Norzagaray, also graced the event and became very happy and amazed with the ceremonial presentation and the completers' smiles of happines and fulfillment in their blue completion gowns. In her inspirational speech, she articulated that she was celebrating the joy of seeing the seniors pursuing lifelong learning.
Meanwhile, Dr. Liberty Pascual, college president narrated the journey of the program implementation and the plan for future directions for sustainability of the program. She also uncovered the diverse characters, capacities, potentials and interests of this first batch.
Hence, both Hon. Mayor Germar and Pres. Dr. Pascual acknowledged LPC for unselfishly sharing and supporting the program from its initial kick-off until its culmination that they expressed during their messages.
The completers were given certificates of completion, awards and citation and personal framed pictures as tokens provided by NC, while the beloved mayor handed in cash gifts as her way of congratulating them. Some of them delivered appreciation messages and testimonies about the impact of the program on them, their learning outcomes and insights before rendering their graduation song.
To note, EdukalEdad is a twinned program between LPC and NC by sharing resources, concepts and ideas and process. This has been considered as one of the good features of the Twinning Program explored by LPC in the light of extension program through the senior citizens education as a perfect lifelong learning sustainability project that both partner institutions offer.
It was agreed by both institutions a promise of joint cultural exchange program and Bataan tour to meet their counterparts from LPC to be set soon as supported by beloved mayor.
For Dr. De Leon, "In order to liberate education toward inclusivity, we need to provide equal opportunity among diverse sectors of the society that would break the gap and cultural divide through lifelong learning in a shared learning environment defined as "institutional twinning".
Truly, twinning program may also be done in a local set-up (and not only in international context) where the locale may also benefit the most as explored and successfully realized by LPC and NC (both local colleges).#
